These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SetupAI (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What SetupAI provides

SetupAI is a news aggregation and information alert service. We provide:

  • links to third-party websites and publishers; and
  • essential metadata and brief factual summaries for convenience.

We do not display full-text third-party articles on the Service. Third-party sites are owned and operated by their respective publishers. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party content.

2. Summaries and accuracy

Summaries may be generated or assisted by automated systems and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. They are provided for convenience only. Always refer to the original source for full context and verification. The Service is not professional advice (including legal, financial, medical, or investment advice).

3. Intellectual property and third-party content

  • Third-party content: Copyright and all related rights in third-party articles, images, and other materials belong to the original authors and publishers.
  • SetupAI content: The Service's design, layout, and any original text we create (such as our brief summaries) are owned by the site operator or licensors, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Links, attribution, and non-affiliation

We aim to provide clear attribution and a prominent link to the original publication. Except where expressly stated in writing, SetupAI is not affiliated with or authorized by any third-party publisher.

5. Takedown and publisher opt-out

If you are a rights holder and believe material on the Service is used improperly, please email copyright@setupai.uk and include:

  1. proof of ownership/authorization, and
  2. the relevant URL(s) on SetupAI and the original source link(s).

Upon verification, we will promptly remove and/or de-index the relevant page(s).
Publishers may also request opt-out from indexing/aggregation (domain- or source-level) via the same email.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or infringes the rights of others;
  • attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service (including through abuse, excessive automated requests, or circumvention of access controls);
  • misrepresent affiliation with SetupAI or with third-party publishers.

7. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service or third-party content linked through the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
